Thicker, "Architectural Shingles" Now Standard

In another first that makes more beauty and durability affordable for homeowners, Heritage Homes is making the roofs of its homes more beautiful with thicker, higher dimensional shingles. The new "Architectural Shingles" will come standard on all Heritage homes.

Manufactured by Owens-Corning, the new "Architectural Shingles" give roofs a beauty that is reminiscent of cottages roofed with wooden shingles. The shingles appear 50% thicker than standard three tab asphalt shingles.

This increased dimension breaks up the roof into a pattern of individual appearing shingles. Shadows cast by the higher dimension add even more beauty. The roof looks like it was built from hand laid individual wood shingles yet it retains all the wear and weather proof qualities of modern Owens-Corning shingles.

The new shingles feature a 30-year limited warranty.

The Cambridge, Kingswood and Stonebrook

A Blend of Traditional & New Ideas
Three and Four Bedrooms - 1,640 sq.ft. to 2,383 sq.ft.

The Cambridge

Our region of the country is unique. Our climate can be cold in winter and hot in summer. We enjoy the outdoors but also want to escape into our heated or air-conditioned homes.

Heritage Homes plans are drawn for our unique region of the country. Regional home design preferences have their root in the building materials that are available in an area and climatic conditions. In our area, brick is the most popular and durable building material. Front porches, big windows and shutters along with traditional rooflines complete an appearance that signals comfort and durability in our environment.

The Stonebrook

Many customers are interested in a new "look". They want their home to be even more distinctive from the outside. They want more room in a specific area of their home or want unique features such as a family room that can be entered directly from both the front and rear of the house. At the same time, they want their home to "belong" in its environment.

Heritage Homes uses customer input to develop new home plans. Traditional building materials, traditional appearance and new ideas are blended to produce designs that stand out and are functional. Recently, customers expressed interest in the "custom look" of a modern multi-level roofline that maintains the look of a comfortable Southern home.

The Kingswood
with optional garage

The new Cambridge, Stonebrook and Kingswood meet these criteria. From the curb they will be the most distinctive homes on the street. They are sophisticated, modern and traditional all at the same time. People remark that their appearance is distinctive and reflects the personality of their owners.
